Elide Endreson

Elide's work always makes Red Cake smile. Hiding beneath that prim Victorian surface always lies a tiny post-modern oddity. Jellyfish made of lace? They're intricate, beautiful, and have just a hint of the absurd : a pretty good metaphor for some cultural rituals, we think.

Elide grew up along the Eastern Seaboard where she saw her fair share of jellyfish. She is a now a Chicago-based artist who has exhibited in Chicago and San Francisco. She has a BA in Studio Art and Religion from the University of Rochester and an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
