Lee Gainer

Lee's charming, candy colored pieces make us feel generally happy, tinged with a very slight touch of moroseness. They make us wonder what the story is about each gift basket's sender and recipient.

Using found and created imagery, Lee visually analyzes social rules, hidden messages, the psychology behind these ideas and beliefs, and how they alter our behavior. She has a B.F.A. in Photography from Virginia Commonwealth University and lives in the Metro DC area.
